A longtime sports fanatic, Ricky has channeled that passion into the media world. He spent two-and-a-half years working at the Collegiate Times, Virginia Tech's student-run newspaper, culminating in his tenure as Editor in Chief in 2015-2016.

He moved on to TechSideline.com in 2016 and served as the site's full-time beat writer covering the Virginia Tech football program. Ricky now works with Virginia Beach City FC, a professional soccer team in the Hampton Roads area, while writing about the Hokies and Baltimore Orioles for DullesDistrict.com and co-hosting the Hokie Hangover Podcast.
